Hear Britney Spears, Selena Gomez in Orlando Tribute Song ‘Hands’
Britney Spears, Adam Lambert, Gwen Stefani and Selena Gomez are a few of the contributors to a new single that pays tribute to the victims and families of the Orlando massacre. Proceeds from the star-studded track, titled “Hands,” will be donated to the Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida and GLAAD.
Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels and BloodPop co-wrote “Hands,” with Tranter and BloodPop co-producing it alongside Mark Ronson.
“The second I heard about this horrible tragedy where so many of my LGBTQ brothers and sisters lost their lives, I immediately got on a plane to Orlando,” Tranter said. “Putting this charity single together is just a way for me and everyone involved to keep volunteering our help.”
The tender, anthemic song features reflections on the string of tragedies and mass shootings that have taken over the news in recent years. Hands are a metaphor for bringing people together and bringing change.
The full list of vocalists appearing on the song include: Mary J. Blige, Jason Derulo, Tyler Glenn, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, Juanes, Mary Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, Kacey Musgraves, MNEK, Alex Newell, P!nk, Prince Royce, Nate Ruess, RuPaul, Ty Herndon, Troye Sivan, Jussie Smollett, Meghan Trainor, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, Spears, Stefani, Lambert and Gomez.
“Hands” is available for purchase on iTunes.
