Performers Revealed for 2016 CMA Music Fest TV Special: The Ram Report
Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett will share emcee duties next month on what is being hailed the biggest televised concert event of the summer. On August 3rd, ABC will condense Nashville’s massive, four-day CMA Music Festival into a three-hour special titled CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock.
The Country Music Association has released the show’s list of performers, which includes Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, Rhett, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Steven Tyler, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. The show also boasts plenty of superstar duets: Dierks Bentley and Elle King collaborate on their hit, “Different for Girls;” Luke Bryan sings a cover of “Fishin’ in the Dark” with Keith Urban; Lady Antebellum join Cam on her “Burning House,” followed by their own “Need You Now”; and Little Big Town debut their new song, “One of Those Days” with Pharrell Williams. Other duets include Rascal Flatts with Maren Morris, Steven Tyler with Martina McBride, Chris Young and Cassadee Pope, Hank Williams Jr with Chris Janson and Justin Moore and the show’s hosts, Rhett and Eldredge sharing the stage.
Attended by more than 88,000 people, the CMA Music Festival took place in early June and featured more than 600 artists performing all over downtown Nashville. Ticket proceeds go toward music education programs for youth.
