James Taylor, Chris Stapleton, Vince Gill to Perform at All for the Hall Los Angeles
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton and music icon James Taylor will join Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill at All for the Hall Los Angeles, the latest fundraising concert to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Set for September 27th at the Novo by Microsoft, the event will follow previous incarnations of All for the Hall that have been presented as an informal “guitar pull,” with the acts sharing the stage in an impromptu swap of songs and stories throughout the night.
The Museum’s All for the Hall campaign, which began in 2005, addresses the venue’s need for long-term financial security. Currently in its ninth year between New York City and Los Angeles, the show has also been staged in Nashville six times, including earlier this year with co-hosts Gill and Keith Urban supported by an all-star cast at Bridgestone Arena, where the stripped-down format was supplanted by a fully electric performance that included guests Peter Frampton, Maren Morris and Chris Janson, among others.
Past All for the Hall participants include Taylor Swift, Gregg Allman, Zac Brown, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Patty Griffin, Levon Helm, Chris Isaak, Kris Kristofferson, Pat Monahan, Brad Paisley, Lionel Richie, Paul Simon, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Dwight Yoakam and many more. Gill, who co-founded the event with Urban, has played in every show.
A special feature of this year’s event will see museum joining forces with fellow nonprofit Education Through Music-Los Angeles, a foundation promoting the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools. The Museum’s long-running Words & Music educational experience will be available to students at L.A.’s Dorris Place Elementary School, who will write a song under the direction of veteran songwriter Liz Rose, co-writer of dozens of songs including the Grammy-winning hits “Girl Crush,” by Little Big Town and “White Horse,” by Taylor Swift. During the All for Hall Los Angeles show, the students will take the stage as the opening act to debut their original composition.
A limited number of VIP tables are on sale now and available for purchase at the $5,000 and $10,000 levels. Proceeds for All for the Hall Los Angeles support the Museum’s education programs. A full list of VIP ticket levels and benefits is available here.
