Watch Paul McCartney, Bob Weir Perform Together in Boston
On Friday and Saturday night, Dead and Company performed in front of a sold-out crowd at Boston’s Fenway Park. On Sunday, Paul McCartney‘s tour swooped into the home of the Boston Red Sox. Thankfully, Bob Weir was still in town and, for the first time ever, the Grateful Dead guitarist and McCartney shared the stage together during the encore portion of the latter’s show. The duo first performed Wings’ “Hi Hi Hi” before tackling the White Album classic “Helter Skelter.”
As an added bonus, New England Patriots tight end and human confetti cannon Rob Gronkowski was also in attendance for the concert. During “Helter Skelter,” “Gronk” came out onstage to dance, play air guitar and at one point yell the chorus into the microphone.
Unfortunately, this is where McCartney and Weir’s paths fork: Dead & Company next head to Portland, Oregon for a July 22nd show, while McCartney performs at Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark Stadium on Tuesday.
