Tim Tebow Denies He’s Speaking at RNC, UFC President Will Speak for Trump
Tim Tebow might not be a Donald Trump supporter after all.
On Thursday, news broke out that Tebow — of all people! — was set to speak at the Republican National Convention next week, which came as a surprise to many seeing as Trump’s best football buddy Tom Brady won’t even be in attendance. However, shortly after Tebow’s name was plastered all over the Internet in connection with Trump, the former NFL quarterback took to Facebook to speak on the matter and dispel of the rumor that he’ll be making an appearance.
“I just got back from the Philippines and I wake up this morning to find out that I’m speaking at the Republican National Convention,” Tebow said. “It’s amazing how fast rumors fly, and that’s exactly what it is — a rumor. My goal has always been to be able to make a difference in the biggest way possible. If one day that’s a political route, then that’s what I’ll do. But right now I really believe that’s through my foundation and our amazing partners and fighting for kids who can’t fight for themselves.”
Welcome back to the homeland, Tebow!
UFC president Dana White, on the other hand, will speak at the Republican National Convention in support of Trump. It’s been a long time in the making — White gave Trump his stamp of approval back in December and told TMZ that he’ll never say a negative thing about the Republican candidate — but he intends to take it in a different direction by talking about the Trump he knows as opposed to making a traditional political speech.
Until then, you’ll find White rolling around in the $360 million he made from the recent UFC sale.
