Watch YG Dance, Spray Graffiti in Trippy ‘Still Brazy’ Video
YG dances and sprays graffiti in his trippy video for “Still Brazy,” the title-track from his second LP. “I gotta keep guns with me/ Shit real, I ain’t tryna be pretty,” the rapper admits on the synth-propelled track. “Paranoia got this Henny in my kidney/ Cause I don’t know if they’re with me or against me.”
Still Brazy, one of Rolling Stone’s 45 Best Albums of 2016 So Far, is the acclaimed follow-up to YG’s 2014 debut, My Krazy Life. YG previously promoted the new LP with several singles: “I Wanna Benz,” “Twist My Fingaz,” “FDT (Fuck Donald Trump)” and Drake-featured “Why You Always Hatin’?”
The rapper recently dropped by the Rolling Stone offices to discuss how he assembled the album’s final trio of provocative, social-minded tracks: “FDT,” “Blacks and Browns” and “Police Get Away Wit Murder.”
“It was all organic,” he said. “It was me in the middle of working on my album while all this stuff was going on. I decided to use my platform and speak up for the people with some authority behind it.”
YG is currently touring with G-Eazy & Logic on the Endless Summer trek, which wraps up in early August. The trio’s next date is July 13th at St. Louis’ Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.
