See Eagles’ Jon Dorenbos Earn Golden Buzzer on ‘America’s Got Talent’
Jon Dorenbos’ dream of winning America’s Got Talent is still very much alive. The Eagles long snapper was formally introduced to the world as a magician last month — believe it or not, he is actually a professional magician who has performed in the likes of Las Vegas and Hollywood — when he wowed Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel with his best card trick.
Since he advanced to the next stage with flying colors, Dorenbos returned for the Judge Cuts episode on Tuesday and upped the ante for a shot at securing a spot in the first live show on July 26th. And man, the dude is one hell of a magician.
Once Dorenbos was through with his latest bag of tricks, guest judge Ne-Yo punched his ticket to the next round regardless of what the other judges said or thought by awarding him with a golden buzzer, which can only be used by each judge once every season. To no surprise, Dorenbos was pretty pumped about the entire ordeal, as were some of his teammates.

It now remains to be seen whether or not Dorenbos can continue being a football player by day and a magician at night. Along with the other veterans on the roster, Dorenbos is required to report to training camp with the Eagles on July 27th, one day after he’s scheduled to return to America’s Got Talent.
This is probably a good time to also mention that the Eagles signed John DePalma to an “unprecedented“ contract for a rookie long snapper a few months ago, which raised questions about Dorenbos’ future with the team before he became an Internet sensation.
