Manny Machado and Yordano Ventura Settle Beef in WWE Ring – Sort Of
With some help from the WWE, Manny Machado and Yordano Ventura are settling their beef once and for all — virtually, of course.
Last week, the Orioles shortstop earned himself a four-game suspension and $2,500 fine for charging at the mound and getting into it with Ventura when the Royals pitcher pegged him with a 99-MPH fastball. Punches were thrown between the two, benches were cleared and some wrestling moves were sprinkled in there for good measure.
However, despite the suspension and fine, it didn’t all end badly for Machado. A Baltimore restaurant, Jimmy’s Seafood, was so inspired by his actions that they have since hooked him up with all the crab cakes and steamed crabs he could ever ask for. ESPN’s Dan Szymborski also worked him into WWE 2K16 as a playable character, where Machado has already been tasked with fighting Ventura as well as Royals general manager, Dayton Moore.
It’s pretty detailed, too. Szymborski has them competing in an Orioles ring that’s fully equipped with a baseball mound. He’s even fitted Machado with an Orioles uniform and Ventura with a Royals hat, and included Cubs manager Joe Maddon – because nobody enjoyed their first brawl quite as much as him.

Don’t want my Royals friends feeling left out, so here’s the Dayton’s Elbow. pic.twitter.com/GWMCbmpST7

I guess we now know what Machado will be doing – if he doesn’t win his appeal.
