Watch Meghan Trainor’s Goofy ‘Me Too’ Video
UPDATE 2: The un-edited version of the “Me Too” video is now available. On Twitter, Trainor wrote, “The real #metoo video is finally up! Missed that bass. Thank you everyone for the support.”
UPDATE: Trainor has removed the video for “Me Too.”
“Who’s that sexy thing I see over there?/ That’s me, standing in the mirror,” sings the mermaid-haired Meghan Trainor in the new video for single “Me Too.” The half-rhyme isn’t the only thing wacky about this video.
The music video shows Trainor and her #squad cruising through Los Angeles Rebecca Black-style, wearing garish costume jewelry (“What’s that icy thing hanging ’round my neck?/ That’s gold – show me some respect”) and Trainor giggling around town in a giraffe onesie. Just another day in the #craycray life of the Best New Artist Grammy winner.
Later in the day, Trainor yanked the video from the internet. “They Photoshopped the crap outta me,” the singer said via a Snapchat video on Monday. “My waist is not that teeny, I had a bomb waist that night, I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist, but … I didn’t approve that video and it went out to the world. So I’m embarrassed.”
