Watch Eagles of Death Metal Open Bouncy House Business on ‘Conan’
Eagles of Death Metal have a lucrative side business in Los Angeles, the band said in a comedy sketch Thursday: bouncy houses.
“Our passion for bouncy houses turned into a cash cow,” frontman Jesse Hughes said in the hilariously earnest infomercial for a new venture called “Bouncy Houses of Eagles of Death Metal of Greater Los Angeles.” The video features the band standing in front of a green screen image of a bouncy house.
The band laid out a straightforward business plan: Eagles of Death Metal inflate the bouncy house for your kid’s birthday. For a small fee, they perform inside said house until one of the band members throws up. The video shows the band jamming inside a bouncy house with kids throwing plastic cups at them from the outside.
Bassist Matt McJunkins hawked the business’s official slogan: “If you can bouncy house dream it, we can bouncy house deliver it.” Not everyone can use the bouncy house, the band clarifies. For example, llamas. No llamas allowed in an Eagles of Death Metal-installed bouncy house, the band says.
Eagles of Death Metal are on tour in North America through early June in support of their 2015 LP Zipper Down.
