See Kenny Chesney Dance With Miranda, Jam With Jake
With the release of his 16th studio album, Some Town Somewhere, looming just a few weeks away, Kenny Chesney continues to crisscross the country on his 25-date Spread the Love Tour. The trek touched down at Dallas/Forth Worth’s AT&T Stadium this past Saturday, bringing with it a handful of duets, dances moves and surprise appearances.
Brad Tursi and Matthew Ramsey, members of opening act Old Dominion, returned to the stage during Chesney’s headlining set for an all-hands-on-deck version of “Save it for a Rainy Day.” Miranda Lambert, made a return appearance, too, duetting with Chesney on the George Strait classic “The Fireman.” The two tourmates swapped harmonies and even two-stepped across the stage during the song’s musical break, with Chesney’s acoustic guitar dangling by his side.
As Chesney’s 18-song setlist wound its way to a close, Jake Owen walked onstage for a beefed-up version of the headliner’s 1999 hit, “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” largely delivered from a catwalk that jutted into the sold-out audience. [Watch below.] Dallas may be a landlocked city, but Owen kept things appropriately beach-friendly, leaving his shoes in the wings and performing the song barefoot.
The Spread the Love Tour heads to Canada this week, stopping by the Molson Canadian Amphitheater on Thursday. See a full list of Chesney’s tour dates here.
