Watch Mitt Romney Read Donald Trump Supporters’ Mean Tweets
Former governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night as part of his campaign to prevent Donald Trump from securing the Republican nomination.
While he was there, Kimmel forced Romney to read some of the mean tweets that have been directed at the 2012 Republican presidential nominee since he began speaking out against the reality star’s bid.
The first, naturally, was from Trump himself.
Mitt Romney had his chance and blew it. Lindsey Graham ran for president, got ZERO, and quit! Why are they now spokesmen against me? Sad!

“The only people I know who got zero are the ones who paid 25 grand to be at Trump University,” Romney quipped.
Another tweeter called him a loser, and made fun of his slick hairdo.
@MittRomney = loser, who are you any way, and by the way where do u buy the shoe polish u wear in ur hair lol #Trump2016

“That’s true, actually, I lost. You may not have noticed,” Romney conceded. As for the shoe polish: “I buy it at Costco in bulk,” he said.
After answering the trolls, Romney turned serious. “Donald Trump needs to get out of the race,” he told Kimmel. “He says in [his tweet] there that he’s sad; let’s make people happy and let’s have a candidate that we can be proud of.”
Over the last two weeks, Romney has emerged as the most vocal member of a faction of Republicans, including 2008 nominee John McCain, vehemently opposed to Trump’s bid.
Romney called the GOP frontrunner a “fraud” in a speech at Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics on Thursday, and recorded robocalls that were sent on behalf of Trump’s rivals, Marco Rubio and John Kasich.
