To tease his forthcoming album, Views From the 6, Drake performed a surprise six-song set during SXSW on Saturday, March 19th, following performances from his OVO crew. Although he didn't share any new songs from the album, he did perform "Know Yourself," and followed that with "Legend," "Energy" — his collaboration with Future "Jumpman" with help from producer Metro Boomin — and "Back to Back." He ended the set with "Summer 16," and then he announced that he'll be back on tour to Austin, Houston and Dallas (and likely more cities) following the release of Views From the 6.
Although he didn't provide exact details about the release of the forthcoming album, according to sources at the event, he stated: "Views From the 6 coming in how many weeks, I hope you enjoy that shit." This wasn't his first "surprise" performance since last week, he made a cameo during Rihanna's concert in Miami. The two performed "Work" and he also performed "Jumpman."
