See Kelsea Ballerini’s Stripped-Down ‘Dibs’ From ‘First Time’ Special
Kelsea Ballerini, who has rewritten the record books with her first two blockbuster singles, will be spotlighted with The First Time: Kelsea Ballerini, airing tonight, February 26th, at 9:00 p.m. ET on the AT&T Audience Network (DIRECTV Channel 239 and U-verse Channel 1114).
Featuring an intimate performance and interview segment filmed live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the special shares its name with Ballerini’s debut LP, The First Time, which was released in May of last year. The first two singles from the album, “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs,” have both reached Number One on the country charts, making the 22-year-old the first solo female artist to have two consecutive chart-toppers since Carrie Underwood. Watch an exclusive sneak preview from the special, featuring Ballerini’s acoustic performance of the playful “Dibs,” above.
“This has been something I’ve been looking forward to releasing for months,” Ballerini tells Rolling Stone Country of the intimate conversation included in the TV special. “I’ve never felt like my story, myself, and my dreams have been captured as well as they are in this interview. I hope people feel like they know me and my music better after watching it.”
Ballerini, who recently shared a stage with pop legend Cyndi Lauper, is currently on the road and is set to join Rascal Flatts on June 17th for a tour that runs through September 9th.
