Stream Rosanne Cash’s AmericanaFest NYC Concert
The roots music of the inaugural Americana Fest NYC continues Saturday, August 9th, with the live stream of a concert from Lincoln Center featuring Rosanne Cash, the Lone Bellow and Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale. Presented in partnership with the Americana Music Association, the concert will stream live here on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.
An acclaimed singer-songwriter, author and essayist, Rosanne Cash first achieved mainstream country success with a string of hits in the Eighties. Her latest album, The River & The Thread, is a musical travelogue exploring Cash’s Southern roots. The LP has earned three nominations at this year’s Americana Honors & Awards ceremony, slated for September 17th at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. In addition to Artist and Album of the Year, Cash is nominated for Song of the Year for “A Feather’s Not a Bird.” Next month’s Americana Honors and Awards show will be taped to air on PBS later this year.
Singer-songwriter Laura Cantrell hosts the Americana Fest NYC concerts from Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park. Shows are free and open to the public. On August 6th, Americana stalwarts Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell streamed their live concert as part of the event.
