Skrillex Brings Full Flex Express Train Tour Back to Canada
Skrillex will be bringing his Full Flex Express train tour back to Canada this July. The revival of the train tour was announced on Tuesday with a flashback video showing behind-the-scenes clips of past performers live and traveling together.
Following a 2012 debut that saw Skrillex traveling coast-to-coast with Diplo, Grimes, Pretty Lights and more, he cancelled the 2013 installment citing financial setbacks due to logistical issues. For the reinstatement of the eight-city tour, Skrillex promises more guests and will announce the official line-up on April 1st.
Last year, the DJ released his first studio album Recess before making numerous festival appearances, including Governors Ball, Voodoo Experience and Bonnaroo. At the latter, he led the “Superjam,” a yearly facet of the Tennessee festival, that included performances by Janelle Monáe, A$AP Ferg, comedian Craig Robinson and more.
Along with festival appearances and heavy promotion of his debut LP, Skrillex began to perform as half of the superduo Jack Ü with Diplo. Together, the pair appeared on Diplo’s label showcase tour Mad Decent Block Party and dropped an album with little warning in February during a 24-hour DJ set. The joint LP featured a number of all-star guests, including Justin Bieber, Kiesza, Missy Elliott and 2 Chainz.
