Odd Future Launch 24/7 Radio Channel
Odd Future are launching their own commercial-free channel on Dash Radio. Streaming live, 24-hours-a-day on the Dash website, the channel will feature “our shows, our shit and music we like,” according to a statement from the hip-hop collective.
“Live show on Tuesdays. specials… whatever they come up with,” manager Christian Clancy told The Fader of the radio venture’s possible content. “Could be absolutely amazing or a complete disaster… ha.” Dash Radio, which launched in August, is available as an app for iPhone and Android devices.
Odd Future have expanded their brand beyond music in recent years. Back in 2012, the group debuted a surreal reality show/sketch comedy series, Loiter Squad, on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block; the show’s third season aired this summer. Meanwhile, the crew’s third annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival will be held on November 8th at the L.A. Coliseum; in addition to rides, games, food trucks, prizes and a skate park, the event will feature musical performances from the full Odd Future (including solo shows from Tyler, the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt and other members), Pharrell Williams, Rick Ross and Mac Miller. General admission and VIP tickets are still available at the Carnival website.
Tyler, the Creator announced a small string of winter solo dates earlier this week. The rapper will appear at White Rabbit in San Antonio, Texas on December 12th, with his last performance of 2014 scheduled for New York City’s Terminal 5 on December 21st. “IDK WHEN IM DOING THIS AGAIN,” Tyler wrote on Instagram to accompany the tour announcement. “COME FUCK.”
