Hear Torche’s Sunny ‘Loose Men’ From Upcoming LP ‘Restarter’
Florida sludge-pop crew Torche have are set to drop their fourth album, Restarter, on February 24th, and have been ramping up with a steady stream of music — including the slow crawling “Minions” and the bass-booming crush of “Annihilation Affair.” With a month to go before release date comes “Loose Men,” the most uptempo of the bunch.
Restarter will be the first record the band has released on extreme metal powerhouse Relapse. Last year, bassist Jonathan Nuñez told Rolling Stone that the album will their hardest yet. “[Our fans are] gonna be like, ‘Finally! They stopped fuckin’ around. They’re heavy again!'” he said. “Some people will think it’s different but has continuity with the other stuff. But there will be the people who come back and say, ‘Oh, I like them again. They’re heavier than ever.’ That word will be brought up a lot.”
Preorders for the album are available at Relapse’s site. Though some of the deluxe versions — like the “25th anniversary silver” and the glow-in-the-dark vinyl with Torche sunglasses — have sold out, many unique variants are still available, including limited edition 180-gram vinyl, cassette and picture disc.
Torche will be touring the States in March and Europe throughout May. Until then, check out “Loose Men” below.
