Kanye Asks Franco and Rogen to Recreate ‘Bound 2’ Parody at Wedding
Last November, James Franco and Seth Rogen turned their bromance into a viral sensation with “Bound 3,” a hilarious shot-for-shot parody of Kanye West‘s “Bound 2” video (which featured the rapper making out with fiancée Kim Kardashian on a motorcycle). Appearing on ABC’s The View, Franco says West enjoyed their tribute so much, he asked the duo to “perform it live the night before his wedding in Versailles,” Us Weekly reports.

At first, Franco was worried about West’s reaction to the video, assuming the rapper would be offended. “We did get feedback,” Franco said. “Kim loved the video, and we didn’t hear back from Kanye, so we kind of felt like he’s not bashing us. He probably hates it, but he’s not going to say anything.”
But instead of unleashing a trademark rant about the purity of his art (or even throwing in a mid-song diss, like he did with the South Park “fish stick” incident), West thought the clip was hilarious, prompting Kardashian to tweet a note of gratitude (“[Kanye] loves u guys! He laughed so hard at this.”) in Rogen’s direction. Then, “about two weeks ago,” West contacted the This is the End co-stars directly with his bold nuptial invitation – which may or may not come to fruition.
“Seth and I were on the phone,” he continues. “We thought he was just going to let us have it. But he loved it. And I’m pretty sure I can say it now because I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen. He wanted us to perform it live the night before his wedding at Versailles.”
It’s depressing to think this amazing spectacle might not take place. But, as Franco notes, the end result might be a bit awkward: “I think it would have been awesome for about 10 seconds,” he says, “but then there would be Seth with his shirt off in front of all the Kardashians.”
