Three People Shot Outside Schoolboy Q, Nas, Flying Lotus Concert
Schoolboy Q was temporarily detained – but not arrested – by Denver police following a Thursday night shooting that injured three people, The Denver Post reports. The incident took place in the parking lot of the Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, where a concert featuring Schoolboy, Nas and Flying Lotus had just ended. As Pitchfork notes, the Jefferson County Sherrif’s Office said in a tweet that no suspect is in custody as of Friday morning.
Pictures of Schoolboy in handcuffs emerged on Twitter early this morning.

The three victims reportedly drove a white SUV into Denver, where they stopped and police were summoned to the scene. All three were transported to Denver Health medical center; while no statement has been issued on their condition, police have confirmed that there were no fatalities in the shooting. Two other passengers were also in the vehicle, and both are assisting with the investigation.
Following the shooting, the venue was placed in lockdown as police searched all cars in the parking lot. Many concertgoers were still on the scene two hours after the concert ended.
Schoolboy released his third studio album, Oxymoron, back in February. Meanwhile, on Monday, June 23rd, Nas is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his classic LP Illmatic with a joint performance alongside comedian Dave Chappelle at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
