Solange Deletes Beyonce Photos From Instagram After Jay Z Fight
UPDATE (5/13): Beyonce posted four pictures of her and Solange Wednesday morning, presumably to quell any speculation of tension between the two singers.
Solange Knowles has deleted numerous Instagram photos of her sister Beyoncé following the leak of a video that appears to show the singer hitting her brother-in-law, Jay Z, in an elevator. Initial reports stated that the singer had deleted all but one photo of her older sister, though it was revealed later that select photos of the pair remained.

Elsewhere on Instagram, as Us Weekly points out, Beyoncé may have left some sort of clue about the incident, posting a photo of a prayer after the altercation took place, but before the security footage leaked. Though the pop star’s intentions are unclear, the prayer asks God to guide and bless her relationships: “Help me choose my friends wisely so I won’t be led astray,” it reads. “Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence. I release all my relationships to You and pray that Your will be done in each one of them.”
Though none of the parties involved have officially addressed the incident, insiders told Us that it wasn’t without precedent: “Solange has flipped her lid like that before,” one source said. “She is genuinely a sweet and nice person but she also keeps shit real. She can take a small thing and it triggers her… That’s why Bey and Jay were so calm. They are used to this from Solange.”
Meanwhile, as CBS New York reports, the Standard Hotel in New York City, where the altercation took place, is investigating the leak of the video, saying in a statement that it is “shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system.” The hotel condemned the leak as a violation of the privacy and confidentiality they offer customers, and promised to “discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”
