Alas, Poor Vilsack
Tom Vilsack, the ex Iowa guv, made his mark as the first Democrat to enter the race, and he’s become first to pull candidate to the plug on his campaign.
He’s citing money troubles, which seems odd to me. To not even make it to the first candidate debate seems a sorry waste of funds and energy all around. And wasn’t his whole shot to win or place in Iowa and pull in cash from that?
Hell, he could just hang out in coffee shops in Iowa for the next year, at a cost of maybe $50,000, and rake in 10-15 percent of the vote. I’m sure there’s a more interesting back story here.
