Watch: Peter Travers: ‘Morning Glory’ Wilts, ‘Unstoppable’ Better Than Expected
This week, Peter Travers comments on two new films,
Morning Glory (starring Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton and Rachel MacAdams) and the Denzel Washington vehicle
Unstoppable.
Morning Glory is the tale of a fallen news anchor (Ford) who is forced to co-host an inane morning news show hosted by Keaton and produced by MacAdams. While Travers says the actors give appealing performances, he emphasizes that the topic was handled earlier and better by Broadcast News and Network.
In this clip, Travers says that Unstoppable, a film about a runaway train, was something that he previously thought he’d rather die than see. But now that he’s seen it, he admits, “It’s really a good popcorn movie.”
