Paul Simon Performs New Song ‘Love Is Eternal Sacred Light’ on Fallon
On Wednesday Paul Simon performed Simon & Garfunkel’s 1970 classic “Cecilia” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon with the cast of Stomp and Fallon himself. Last night he moved the clock forward 41 years with his brand new song “Love Is Eternal Sacred Light.” Simon’s new album So Beautiful Or So What has been drawing the best reviews for anything that the singer has done in about 20 years.
Rolling Stone Reviews ‘So Beautiful or What’
Simon takes the show on the road later this month, and he promises the theater and club tour won’t be his typical greatest hits show. “I want to play several songs from the new album and music from my repertoire that I either haven’t played in concert or have played very seldom,” Simon tells Rolling Stone. “I’ll play a few songs by other people, maybe a couple of Simon and Garfunkel songs. And then late in the evening, who knows, I might pick up my acoustic guitar and sing whatever comes into my mind. That’s the fun of clubs — it’s looser.”
