YouSendIt.com Adds Unlimited Online Storage, File Syncing
Popular online file sharing service YouSendIt.com, which lets you upload large files to the Internet, then share them with friends and coworkers via email links, has introduced new unlimited online data storage and syncing services. By adding the low-priced cloud storage plan, file synchronization across multiple desktops and document signing features, it’s taking clear aim at rival operators including Dropbox and Amazon Cloud Drive.
Accessible via the Web, Windows desktop widget or iPhone and iPad (iOS) app, the service will allow you to share files and folders across multiple computers, and set permission levels for accessing data. Users can be assigned privileges that allow them to read documents and files only with or without a login, or read and write to these virtual storage spaces, with content updates synchronized across connected devices. Document signing capabilities also empower subscribers to use their mouse or mobile gadget’s touchscreen to add a signature to virtual Word, Excel and PDF manuscripts, and save and share executed docs.
Subscription plans include a free monthly option (2GB storage, up to 5 signed documents, 50MB max file sizes, 100 downloads/file) and $9.99/month Pro alternative (5GB storage, 10 signed documents, 2GB max file sizes and 500 downloads/item). But a $14.99/month Pro Plus option is also being offered that promises unlimited online storage, signed documents and maximum downloads per file, plus 2GB top file sizes as well.
Providing a straightforward way to backup, send and share data of all types, the service hopes to offer an easy workaround to annoyingly oversized email attachments.
