Mumford and Sons Preview New LP at Bonnaroo
Mumford & Sons have been touring their debut album Sigh No More for nearly two years. During that time they have gone from playing tiny clubs to headlining festivals around the world. “People often think of Bonnaroo as being like the American Glastonbury,” bassist Ten Dwane says. “It’s about ten to fifteen times hotter.” The group has been working on their second disc in Nashville and London, and have even been road-testing some of the new material on tour. “It helps to play them live,” says Marcus Mumford. “After this tour we’re going to go straight into the studio to start recording.” The band can’t wait until the disc is in stores. “We’re just really excited about the prospect of having two albums to draw from,” says Dwane. “People have been so warm to the new songs, but they don’t know them because they aren’t on a CD. Having two albums will broaden the picture of what we do. It’s going to be a good summer.” In this video the bands plays the title track to Sigh No More and a new track called “Below My Feet.”
