Georgia Lawyer Turns Local Super Bowl Ad Into Revenge Fantasy
Georgia attorney Jamie Casino went full Michael Bay with an explosive, action-packed local commercial during the Super Bowl last night. Rather than the usual “I’ll be there for you” injury lawyer spiel, Casino presented the citizens of Savannah with a Robin Hood–like revenge tale – “based on a true story,” no less – about how he used to be “a notorious criminal defense lawyer who was employed by some of the most cold-hearted villains.”

The spot opens with Casino taking cash from a Michael Corleone–type figure. But he stopped representing criminals when he learned that his brother’s life “was taken” in an undisclosed way and decided to fight for good people. He put his sights on the chief of police, whom he said disrespected victims like his brother. In another scene, Casino’s son asks him what he does when he goes to work. That’s when things heat up.
The over-the-top ad shows a picture of Casino’s brother, a shot of Casino picking up a sledgehammer at a gravestone and some religious imagery. That’s when the fire comes in. Soundtracked by “Devil Gets Your Soul” by hard rocker Nick Nolan, Casino toes a line with the sledgehammer and exacts his vengeance. “I’m attorney Jamie Casino, and I don’t represent villains anymore,” he says, as he plays out his revenge fantasy. “I speak for innocent victims who cannot speak for themselves.” Then the ad ends with the hashtag #casinoslaw. Just don’t ask him about Georgia’s laws regarding grave desecration.
