Seth Rogen Explains Kanye West’s ‘Bound 3’ Wedding Offer
Seth Rogen explained just how close he and James Franco came to recreating “Bound 3,” their parody of Kanye West‘s “Bound 2” video, at the rapper and Kim Kardashian’s upcoming wedding on Ellen, saying, “Thank God it was kind of realized that it would not be the best idea.”

Franco revealed West’s offer on The View last week, saying it “would have been awesome for about 10 seconds,” a sentiment Rogen echoed during his chat with Ellen DeGeneres. “Me and Franco got a call and [West] said that he was thinking it may be funny if we performed it at the wedding and we came out on a motorcycle,” Rogen explained. “And then we were like, ‘And then what do we do?’ And then we were all like, ‘I don’t know!’ And then we were like, ‘That’s probably not gonna be very funny!’ Because then [West] is like, ‘Then I’m just rapping with you and James Franco on a motorcycle for five minutes.'”
Still, being the huge Kanye fan that he is, Rogen added: “If he wanted me there, I would have been there naked, with a shirt off, however he wanted me, on a motorcycle, doing whatever he needed.”
Rogen also talk about the origins of the “Bound 2” spoof and his and Franco’s obsession with getting it as perfect as possible, from the lighting to the nuzzling. And while Franco had to learn the song’s lyrics beat-for-beat, Rogen cracked, “I just had to learn to stare longingly, and there’s a lot of hair tousling. I got razor burn from Franco — it’s a tough gig.”
