See Bono and Amy Poehler’s Unexpected Golden Globes Makeout
Bono maybe got a little more than he bargained for when he gave Amy Poehler a neck massage during the Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy honor at the Golden Globes Awards tonight.

Massaging the actress – who was also hosting the show – as a gag for her close-up, as Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke and NCIS: Los Angeles‘ Chris O’Donnell announced the nominees, things heated up quickly when the latter presenter called out her name. Poehler, who was sitting on the U2 frontman’s lap, simply turned around, grabbed ahold of the Irish rocker and planted a long, (pseudo?) passionate kiss on him. It lasted all of two seconds, but the purple-spectacled singer had an ear-to-ear smile on his face when she got up to accept the trophy for her work on Parks and Recreation.
It was Poehler’s first win and third nomination for the show, which may or may not be on its way out. “I’ve never won anything like this,” she said, adding, “This is so cliché, but you get really nervous. . . I never win, so I can’t believe I won.” Amid a lengthy list of thank you’s, she failed to thank Bono for being a make-out buddy.

U2 won the Golden Globe for Best Song earlier in the evening, for their track “Ordinary Love,” which accompanied the 2013 movie Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. “This really is personal for us,” Bono said in his acceptance speech. “This man turned our life upside down, right-side up, a man who refused to hate, not because he didn’t have rage or anger or these things, but that he thought love would do a better job.”
U2 have been working on a new record, which is reportedly due out in the spring. Time will tell if the liner notes thank Amy Poehler.
