Kesha to Tour With Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party
Kesha‘s ongoing legal battle against producer Dr. Luke won’t prevent her from performing music this summer as the singer revealed that she’ll take part in the Mad Decent Block Party’s traveling festival. In addition to Mad Decent founder Diplo, this year’s Block Party also boasts artists like Tiësto, Baauer, AlunaGeorge, DJ Snake, D.R.A.M., Kaskade and dozens more along its 13-city trek.
The Mad Decent Block Party trek kicks off July 30th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and concludes October 1st in Los Angeles. Boi-1da, Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, RL Grime, Zeds Dead and more also take part in the fest, with lineups varying at each stop.
As of now, Kesha is scheduled to take part in at least three Block Party gigs: August 7th at Brooklyn’s MCU Park, August 21st at Chicago’s FirstMerit Bank Pavilion and the tour-ending visit to L.A. Center Studios. Check out the Mad Decent site for full lineup breakdown.
After spending much of the past year embroiled in a lengthy legal battle against her former producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, who she accuses of sexual and verbal abuse, Kesha has slowly started stepping back into the spotlight in recent months, including a surprise guest spot during Zedd’s Coachella concert in April; two weeks later, “True Colors,” her new collaboration with the EDM star, was officially released.
Kesha is also scheduled to take part in an all-star celebration of Bob Dylan’s 75th birthday at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on May 23rd and 24th.
