Hear Ariana Grande’s Brazen New Track ‘Into You’
Ariana Grande released a new single from her forthcoming third album Dangerous Woman. The synthy “Into You” is primed for dance floor makeout sessions. Grande swaggers with little affect in tight vocal range. It’s as if she’s doing one of her signature Saturday Night Live parodies of Eighties pop star Samantha Fox. “A little less conversation, a little more touch my body,” Grande purrs.
Grande, who was just named one of TIME’s Most Influential People in the World, is showcasing a more adult sound on her new record that drops May 20th. The album will feature 15 new tracks including “Let Me Love You” with rapper Lil Wayne. Dangerous Woman already seems riddled with guest spots like “Get On Your Knees” and “Bang Bang”-collaborator Nicki Minaj (“Side to Side”), Future (“Everyday”) and Macy Gray (Leave Me Lonely”).
“Into You” is the second single from this album produced by Swedish pop machine Max Martin, who was also behind Grande’s scorching title track “Dangerous Woman.” Martin has been an intrinsic part of helping young pop singers transition musically. Martin helped Taylor Swift make the country to pop switch on Red and 1989, as well as Kelly Clarkson into a pop-rock sound with her smash hit “Since U Been Gone.”
