One Year Later: The Gulf Oil Spill
Wednesday, April 20 marks the one-year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon blowout, the oil platform explosion that killed 11 men and set a 200-million-gallon gusher of oil spewing into the Gulf of Mexico for three long months. Among the questions to tackle: How far has the Gulf ecosystem recovered? What are the lingering health effects on Gulf coast residents? How well have politicians, oil executives, government regulators and other players absorbed the lessons of the spill? Could a disaster like the BP spill happen today? Check back here for updates.
