Comment of the Day: Inside Lebanon
Reader Joe Cherabie writes:
I'm currently in Lebanon and I can tell you that these past events have taken a toll on everone here. Us lebanese are very proud people and we have worked so hard to rebuild our country after the Lebanese Civil War, and to see our country fall back into a war which is not even our fault is our worst nightmare. True Israel has the right to defend itself, but to blame the Lebanese government after they detached themselves from the actions of Hezbollah right when the fighting started, is downright wrong. To see our Prime Minister crying on tv, begging for a ceasefire while the U.S. government vetos and strongly disagrees with anything to do with a ceasefire and just watches while innocent lives being taken makes us here wonder why?
