Such Great Heights
In 2002, Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello entered into a long-distance musical relationship. The Death Cab For Cutie singer and the electronic music producer collaborated on an album from their respective cities, Seattle and L.A., forming the Postal Service. The electro-pop single "Such Great Heights" may sound like it could be a pensive love song, but for Gibbard, it was a departure from some of the more forlorn tunes he's written. "I think 'Such Great Heights' is the first time I've ever written a positive love song," he said, "where it's a song about being in love and how it's rad, rather than having your heart broken."
