Minesweeper, Sudoku Free for Windows Phone 7 Users
Two of the world’s most popular puzzle games, Minesweeper and Sudoku, are now available free to Windows Phone 7 smartphone users in the United States.
As recently announced on the company’s blog, ad-supported editions of both video games can be downloaded immediately to mobile devices at zero cost. Featuring Xbox Live support, each offers support for collectible achievements and several modes of play.
Minesweeper, which involves clearing a grid of mines by marketing safe tiles with flags, will be playable in Classic and Speed modes. Sudoku, based on the popular newspaper challenge and hinged around inserting missing numbers onto a board filled with digits, can be enjoyed in Classic or Lightning renditions.
While neither moves the dial audio-visually or conceptually, it’s hard to argue with either of these offerings’ pure playability, or the price of admission.
