Though it would eventually call on the talents of Phil Hartman, Julia Sweeney and David Spade, the supporting cast here includes SNL veteran Tim Meadows and Jill Talley of Mr. Show (and — it should be said, rock fans — the star of the Smashing Pumpkins’ 1996 video for “Tonight Tonight”).
