‘Portlandia’ Returning With Even More Stars
A huge line-up of guest stars will be appearing on Portlandia when the show returns for its fourth season in 2014. The sketch comedy series from Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein has already drawn on a impressive range of celebrities and indie heroes in its previous seasons, and many of them will be back again for more.

IFC announced today that the new season, which begins on February 27th, will feature guest appearances from TV on the Radio‘s Tunde Adebimpe, Queens of the Stone Age‘s Josh Homme, Wilco leader Jeff Tweedy and former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, among other musicians. Armisen’s former Saturday Night Live colleagues Maya Rudolph and Vanessa Bayer will also be popping up, along with Kirsten Dunst, Olivia Wilde, Nick Swardson and sex columnist Dan Savage.
Among the familiar faces returning to the show are Ed Begley Jr., Steve Buscemi, St. Vincent’s Annie Clark, Jason Sudeikis and Gus Van Sant – plus Portland faux-mayor Kyle MacLachlan, naturally.
“Whether there is no shortage of celebrities who want to visit Portland, or Portlandia has an endless number of friends, it’s good news for IFC viewers,” said Jennifer Caserta, president and general manager of Portlandia‘s home network, IFC. “We’re once again blown away by the creativity and talent this show brings to our air every season.”
The show, which has previously featured guest spots from the likes of Jack White, Aimee Mann, Johnny Marr and Chloe Sevigny, was renewed over the summer for two more seasons.
