First Listen: Jacquie Lee’s Debut Single, ‘Broken Ones’
Team Xtina teen powerhouse Jacquie Lee wowed on “The Voice” Season 5 last fall, holding her own against much older and more experienced top three finalists Will Champlin and Tessanne Chin. She’ll soon be heading out on the 31-city Voice Live summer tour with Tessanne, Will, this current “Voice” season’s to-be-determined top three, and Season 1 runner-up Dia Frampton. And surely one of the highlights of her set will be her debut single, “Broken Ones,” premiering right here on Yahoo Music!
Not to be confused with the Dia Frampton single by a similar title, “Broken Ones” is a mature-beyond-Jacquie’s-years piano power ballad, very Sarah McLachlan/Christina Perri in feel, with tastefully spare production that places the prodigy’s voice (of course) front and center.
If you like what you hear, you can pre-order the song on iTunes HERE. And if you feel like hearing “Broken Ones” in concert, check out the Voice Live tour dates below!
