Watch Chris Stapleton Turn Horrible Words Into Beautiful Music
After picking up a few Grammys, including Best Country Album, Chris Stapleton stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to offer a sneak preview of his next LP. “Chris has been working on a special new album, a concept album, the concept is very interesting: He’s taken the most irritating words in the English language and turned them into this,” Kimmel said before introducing the infomercial for Stapleton’s new LP Cringeworthy, an album where country’s breakout star “turns all the words you hate the most into songs you will love the most.”
Stapleton and his acoustic guitar then transform words like “Ladyfriend,” “Nom-Nom, Yummy, Nom-Nom” “Panties” and, most impressively, “Vajayjay” into somewhat palatable songs. Stapleton then introduces viewers to “the breakout love song of 2016,” “Moist & Juicy.” Fans who purchase the (completely fake) Cringeworthy at the 1-800 number provided by Kimmel also receive a free tube of ointment.
