Presently titled Something in the Water, the comedy would cast Lambert as one of five women who compete against their mates in a bass-fishing tournament. Fanjoy, who would direct, and screenwriter Cindy McCreery provided the script. Sony Music Nashville, Lambert’s record label, confirms to Rolling Stone Country that the project is in the “early stages of development.”
The film would mark Lambert’s first foray onto the silver screen but not her first acting gig. In 2012, she guest starred on Law & Order: SVU, playing a rape victim.
