Kanye West Wants to Redesign the Clippers’ Mascot
Late last month, the Los Angeles Clippers unveiled their new mascot, Chuck the Condor, essentially a winged Poochie from the streets of L.A. who “keeps it 100, always” despite being critically endangered.
Unfortunately for the Clippers, just about everyone in the world hates him.
But maybe that’ll change once Kanye West get his hands on Chuck. You see, ‘Ye went on yet another Twitter rant on Sunday – this time about his single greatest quality – when he came up with a bright idea. While watching the Cavaliers dismantle the Clippers at Staples Center, Kanye had the same reaction most of us did when we saw Chuck for the first time. But unlike you or I, he reached out directly to Clips owner Steve Ballmer (or just kind of shouted his name into the Twitter void), saying he wants to redesign the team’s mascot.
Within hours, Ballmer had offered to meet with Kanye. Then, realizing he should probably play this one up as much as possible, he changed his offer and invited Kanye to a Clippers game to talk business (something that definitely wouldn’t have happened during the Donald Sterling era).
@kanyewest @LAClippers love Chuck but love your creativity. Lets talk. Lunch?

@kanyewest Better than lunch. Let’s grab a Clips game together and talk

And if you were wondering how Chuck feels about his boss and Kanye meeting up to talk behind his back, it’s not good. Just wait until ‘Ye is dressing you up in refugee chic, Chuck.
