Wolverine Assembles His Mutant Crew in New ‘X-Men’ Trailer
Wolverine’s getting the old gang back together in the third and final trailer for Marvel’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. This latest clip finds the ass-kicking mutant (Hugh Jackman) time-traveling 50 years into the past to assemble a more youthful version of his crew and prevent a catastrophic future event. “I was sent here for you – from the future,” says Wolverine to a disheveled Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), who responds with a puzzled “Could you give that to me one more time, please?”

Wolverine’s mission won’t be easy. The young Magneto (Michael Fassbender) is being held prisoner miles below the Pentagon, which leads the gang to recruit supersonic Quicksilver (Evan Peters) for a breakout attempt. Elsewhere, Wolverine meets up with the other mutants, including “cold-hearted bitch” Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence). “It’s gonna take all of to win this war,” intones present-day Magneto (Ian McKellen). And the ensuing chaos – which includes a crumbling football stadium – only enforces that sentiment.
X-Men: Days of Future Past was directed by Marvel veteran Bryan Singer, from a script by Simon Kinberg. The cast also features Ellen Page (as Kitty Pryde), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), Halle Berry (Storm), Daniel Cudmore (Colossus), Adan Canto (Sunspot), Omar Sy (Bishop), Fan Bingbing (Blink) Booboo Stewart (Warpath) and Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage (evil scientist Bolivar Trask).
The film is set to hit theaters on May 23rd. Until then, check out a three-minute official trailer from March and a short clip that premiered during Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards.
