Zac Brown Announces Southern Ground Charleston Lineup
When the Zac Brown Band return to Charleston, South Carolina, for their fourth annual Southern Ground Music & Food Festival this fall, they will be bringing along a few beloved bands from the Nineties. This year’s lineup includes Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Gov’t Mule and The Old 97’s, all bands that rose to prominence in that alt-rock decade.

Set for October 11th and 12 at Charleston’s Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island, the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival also includes guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, buzzed-about soul band St. Paul & the Broken Bones, New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Tammy Wynette throwback Ashley Monroe, along with Steep Canyon Rangers, Darrell Scott and Boy & Bear.
Since the first festival in 2011, Zac Brown’s musician-meets-gourmand weekend has expanded to include Nashville and, this year, Hershey, Pennsylvania. The 2014 festival in Nashville, however, has yet to be confirmed, as the prior years’ site is undergoing construction and presently unavailable. The Hershey installment is set for Labor Day weekend, August 30th and 31st, with Zac Brown Band, Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson headlining.
