Hear Brothers Osborne’s Scorching ‘It Ain’t My Fault’
Brothers Osborne‘s long-awaited debut album Pawn Shop is out January 15th and the duo behind “Stay a Little Longer” has made “It Ain’t My Fault” available for listening before the release.
“It Ain’t My Fault” was written by T.J. and John Osborne with Lee Thomas Miller and closes out Pawn Shop on a decidedly rocking note. Somehow combining Van Halen’s version of “You Really Got Me” and T.Rex’s “20th Century Boy” with gospel intensity, “It Ain’t My Fault” churns restlessly while spinning its unrepentant story of a long, unruly night. The duo has yet to name a follow-up single to “Stay a Little Longer,” but “It Ain’t My Fault” would certainly fit Brothers Osborne’s wishes.
“We want the next single to make a statement regardless of where it will chart,” John Osborne told Rolling Stone Country recently, “so we want to put the right foot forward and that foot is saying, ‘This is different. We are still different. If you thought we were different already, we’re actually a lot more different than you thought.'”
Brothers Osborne will spend release week playing shows, including a January 14th stop in Boston and a January 15th performance in Philadelphia.
