BET Considering Chris Brown Reality Show
Given his many brushes with the law, Chris Brown seems like an unusual – or perhaps perfect – fit for a reality TV show. But according to TMZ, the BET network is considering a series that would chronicle his life after prison, and they’ve already started testing the idea with focus groups to gauge viewer interest.

TMZ’s unnamed “multiple sources” say a group (“comprised entirely of African American females”) was held this past Tuesday in the San Fernando Valley, detemining whether or not the participants would watch a show based around Brown living a clean lifestyle away from drugs and violence. The results were split, though the majority were curious to see if Brown could stay out of trouble. The BET deal reportedly hinges on Brown signing with a production company – several are considering the R&B-pop singer, though a deal hasn’t been made.
Representatives for BET did not immediately respond for comment.
Brown was released from prison earlier this month, after serving just over three weeks of his 131-day sentence. On May 9th, the singer was sentenced to that additional 131-day stint after admitting his involvement in an altercation in Washington D.C. while on probation. In that incident, Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, were arrested for allegedly punching 20-year-old Parker Adams outside a D.C. hotel. Following his arrest, the pop star checked himself into a rehab facility but was kicked out for violating its rules. Last month, Brown sued a man who he claimed tried to extort him following a 2013 pick-up basketball game.
