The house at 1350 Ladera Circle is listed with Josh Altman, star of the Bravo show Million Dollar Listing, and his site describes the estate as “designed in four perfect circles, on three levels, incorporating glass and peanut brittle stonework for indoor-outdoor living.” Boasting art deco design and furnishings throughout, the four-bedroom, five-bath estate was recently “restored to is 1960s splendor” and includes a pool, private garden, tennis court, fruit orchard and—because this was the King’s castle—a stage.
Called “The House of Tomorrow” in 1962 by Look Magazine, footage of the Presley family and the estate can be seen in the movies Elvis by the Presleys and Elvis & Me. You can request a viewing on the Altman Brothers’ website, where you can also scroll through a host of photos of the entire estate.
In other Elvis memorabilia news, the 12-pound cape emblazoned with an American eagle and stars that Presley wore during his famed 1973 performance Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite was up for auction through the Boston-based firm RR Auction last month. And while everything from the King’s underwear to his bible have been put up for sale in the past, nothing comes close to topping the 2012 listing of the crypt where Presley was initially laid to rest alongside his mother before their re-burial at Graceland two months later. The auction house quickly pulled the item, however, after fans complained, wanting the site in Memphis to be preserved as a shrine to Presley.
