10 Plausible Reasons Drake Brought a Lint Roller to an NBA Game
Drake, mostly because he is Drake, brought a lint roller to Tuesday night’s Raptors/Nets NBA playoff game, and he wasn’t shy about using it.
Drake: High Times at the YOLO Estate
While the action swirled around his courtside seat at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, cameras caught Drizzy vigorously rolling his pants – he spent an uncomfortable amount of time around the crotch, to be honest – which made us wonder if he’s got a Turkish Angora at home or something.
Of course, this had his critics (of which there are many) howling, especially since Drake recently bashed former Nets-owner Jay Z’s blue-blood leanings and proclaimed the Raps to be “the people’s team.” But we at Rolling Stone believe that a lint roller isn’t always a classist totem … sometimes, it’s merely a strip of adhesive paper attached to a handle.
And as such, we’ve come up with 10 incredibly plausible reasons why Drake brought a lint roller courtside:
** To remove the dust of Kevin Garnett.
** Still finding residual snow from the “Started From The Bottom” video.
** Courtside seat covered in mysterious white powder left by previous occupant, Rob Ford.
** Planned to use it as a microphone during halftime bathroom break/sing-along session.
** Jay Z threw fondue all over him.
** The dour soundscapes of producer Noah “40” Shebib will stain if not removed properly.
** Much like the OVO mascot, Drake is covered in a downy undercoat.
** Jonas Valančiūnas kept rubbing up against his leg
** Pants covered in Tim Horton’s Timbits residue.
** Rihanna just shedding everywhere these days.
