Faith Hill, Kellie Pickler Set for New Daytime Talk Show
Faith Hill, who has spent more than two decades in the spotlight with her music, headlining concert specials and making countless TV appearances, has kept a close eye on all that goes on behind the scenes. Now, the superstar entertainer is parlaying that experience into a new daytime talk show. Hill will serve as co-executive producer of the series, which has tapped the equally TV-savvy Kellie Pickler as one of the show’s hosts.
The as-yet-unnamed series will be based in Nashville and shot in a modern farmhouse-style home. A release describes it as “an informative, southern-inspired and fun-filled celebration of everyday living and activities.” The series will team Hill with former Oprah co-executive producer and OWN executive Lisa Erspamer, along with Legendary Television and Jason Owen’s Nashville-based management company, Sandbox Entertainment. Producers of the show promise it will be “highly interactive and shop-able,” featuring experts sharing tips and news on cooking, gardening, entertaining and home design.
“This is a woman who has so many talents,” Hill says of Pickler, whose extensive TV credits began as a finalist on American Idol and will star in the new CMT reality series I Love Kellie Pickler, debuting November 5th. “Kellie is smart, compassionate, funny, quick-witted and has a heart for service. . . . She possesses the ability to reach far beyond the camera and into the hearts of people, allowing you to feel immediately connected to her. There was no question in my mind that she should be a big part of this show.”
A pair of Hill’s most recent public appearances had the Mississippi-born belter joining Little Big Town in a “Girl Crush” performance and singing a brief duet with husband Tim McGraw at his Nashville concert this summer. But fans are still left to wonder when she might unveil a follow-up to her most recent studio LP, Fireflies, which marked the 10th anniversary of its release last August.
