Mick Jagger Becomes Great-Grandfather
At 70 years young, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has officially become a great-grandfather. Assisi Jackson, Jagger’s 21-year-old granddaughter, gave birth to a baby girl over the weekend, The Daily Mail reports. CBS News confirms that the baby’s name has not been revealed, also noting that this is the first child for Jackson and 25-year-old boyfriend Alex Key.

Jagger has quite the family tree, with seven children total (with four women) and four grandchildren. The new baby’s grandmother is 42-year-old Jade Jagger, the rock star’s daughter with ex-wife Bianca Jagger.
Overall, 2014 has been marked by peaks and valleys in the Stones singer’s personal life. Back in March, Jagger’s girlfriend, fashion designer L’Wren Scott, was found dead in her New York apartment from a suicide by hanging. “I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way,” Jagger wrote in a touching tribute on Facebook. “We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.”
Earlier in May, Jagger gathered a group of family and friends (including Sarah Jessica Parker and Martin Scorsese) in New York City for an emotional memorial service, during which Jagger sang Bob Dylan’s “Just Like a Woman.” During a Coldplay gig earlier in the month, frontman Chris Martin dedicated the band’s cathartic ballad “Fix You” to the grieving Jagger.
Following the news of Scott’s death, the Stones postponed seven shows in Australia and New Zealand. The band’s tour is scheduled to pick back up on May 26th with a date in Oslo, Norway.
