Lady Gaga Heats It Up With R. Kelly on ‘SNL’
Lady Gaga launched into her first song as musical guest on last night’s Saturday Night Live with some seriously kooky, funked-out dance movies for “Do What U Want,” her steamy duet with R. Kelly. Things got even more physical as soon as Kelly made his entrance, and then the pair went ahead and took it to the floor, with Kelly simulating sex (or just keeping fit with some push-ups) on top of a prostrate Gaga.

For her second act, Gaga opened the song “Gypsy” singing alone at a spectacular pink piano, dressed in a bodysuit with sleeves that jutted out from her shoulders like butterfly wings. About a minute into the number, where the song shifts from ballad to rollicking anthem, a full band stepped out from the shadows and an onstage party ensued, complete with a shirtless male dancer.
The two crowd-pleasers off the freshly-released Artpop mark Lady Gaga‘s third run as Saturday Night Live‘s musical guest. She also made her debut as host of the show last night, and managed to sprinkle a few more musical moments into her sketches.
